The team of the European Researchers' Night will become a travel agency for an evening at the ESPCI Paris - PSL. Program includes pop'cultural overviews, virtual visits and speed searching activities to take you on a night full of meetings and discussions with researchers from all backgrounds.
pop'cultural overviews
2001: A Space Odyssey, Indiana Jones, Interstellar… Come and discover how films and series influence the perception of the researchers' work. Based on several well-knwon extracts, discuss with researchers the reality of their daily work.
20-minute talk, which will take place several times between 6 p.m. and 11 p.m.
Virtual visit
You are now dropped in an unknown place of the world... thanks to Google Earth! You have to discover your location with the help of researchers. Will you be able to decipher the geographical, geological, botanical or linguistic clues?

In the suitcase of researchers
The researchers return from their travels and reveal the contents of their suitcases... Will you be able to define which objects are essential to their research, and which ones are taken on vacation? Through this unpacking, you will have the opportunity to discuss the research topics and the passions of the speakers!
20-minute workshop, which will take place several times between 6 p.m. and 11 p.m.
Speed searching as the speed dating for reseachers!
Based on the principle of speed dating, you will be invited to meet researchers around a table. In eight minutes, you will be allowed to ask all your questions to learn more about their work and their research topics.
Discussion available all night long.
/ ! \ This discussion will also take place online on Zoom on Thursday September 23rd from 7pm to 9pm, on Saturday September 25th from 2pm to 4pm, then from 8pm to 10pm, and finally on Sunday September 26th from 7pm to 9pm. Do not hesitate to register.
Who are the French researchers?
How is research conducted in our country? Do French researchers wear berets in the laboratories? Do they drink red wine at lunchtime? Come and discuss with young doctoral students about the reality of their job!

Wandering machines
It's up to you to use your imagination... to create your ideal mode of transportation! Whether it's flying, rolling, electric or not, come and put your technical skills to the test. Only one condition: your object must be able to move by itself.

Pictures night
Going far away means coming back with a lot of pictures in your head... but also in your film ! Go on a trip around the world with a research team that will show you its most beautiful research photos from around the world.
Will you be able to identify and locate where all these creatures come from, each one more beautiful than the next?
