If you are interested in heritage treasures, archives, manuscripts and old books, the École nationale des chartes - PSL offers you its courses. Come to its "Open House" for high school students, students, their parents and the general public.
Do you dream of working as a historian in contact with various collections and audiences? Do you want to become a heritage or library curator? Or are you interested in the new digital careers related to the dissemination of cultural heritage? The School opens its doors to you to explain the career for which it prepares and the degrees it issues: diploma of archivist paleographer, master's, doctorate. Its teaching staff will answer your questions about the entrance exam and the preparation of its tests, as well as about the different courses of study.
Program
1 p.m-6 p.m.: reception and drop-in
- Diploma of archivist and paleographer
- Master's degrees: "Digital technologies applied to history" and "Digital humanities" (with the presence of Ademec, the Association of graduates and students of the master's degrees)
1:30-5:30: lectures on the careers as curators (salle Delisle)
Each lecture will last 30 minutes and will be followed by a Q&A session.
- 1:30: paleography, by Marc Smith (class 1988), professor of paleography at the École des chartes - PSL
- 2:30: the career of a library curator, by Louisa Torres (class 2014), project manager at Gallica - BnF
- 3:30: the career of a museum curator, by Vincent Lefèvre (class 1999), director of conservation and collections at the Musée national des arts asiatiques - Guimet
- 4:30: the career of a heritage curator, specializing in archives, by Rosine Lheureux (class 1995), director of the Archives départementales du Val-de-Marne
