Between January 20 and June 9, 2021, the École Pratique des Hautes Études-PSL and the Institut d'études avancées de Paris give a series of meetings with Jean-François Delfraissy, Nathalie Bajos, Nicolas Foureur, Esther Duflo, Claire Hédon, Frédéric Worms, François Héran, Didier Leschi, Thierry Wirth, Patrick Boucheron, Judith Butler, Delphine Horvilleur, Najat Vallaud-Belkacem, Frédérique Matonti, Delphine Batho, Bruno David.
IEA de Paris and EPHE-PSL are convinced promoting the impact of the research in the humanities and social sciences on society is a strong expectation. Both schools have been working together since 2019 to design meetings and debates on topical issues of interest to a wide audience.
The first series of lecture for the general public organized jointly in 2019-2020 on the societal challenges of bioethics was a real success. This second series focuses on a current major topic: crises and how to take action against them. The series is based on cross-disciplinarity.
Six lectures - each focusing on a specific type of crisis - offer an opportunity to debate, based on experiences of action in times of crisis.
