Taking action during crises

Convinced it is essential to foster the impact of research in humanities and social sciences on society, the Paris IEA and the EPHE - PSL have been working together since 2019 to design meetings and debates on topical issues that aim to interest a wide audience. Whether they focus on bioethics (2019), or on actions taken during crises (2021 and 2022), these cycles are concrete examples of action taken in favor of breaking walls in research.

From March 9 to June 1, 2022, the series will include four lectures on the theme "Taking action during crises". Through four concrete examples, the aim will be to identify the challenges of action, the specific limitations in the context of these crises as well as the possible solutions, in order to question the lessons to be learned, the general overview, the useful principles, with a view to setting up resilience strategies.

• May, tuesday 10 - "2005 : La crise des banlieues et ses suites."
• June, wed. 1 - "1999 : La France dans la tempête. Gérer la crise et reconstruire."
