Support group for doctoral students 🗣️

Being a PhD student at PSL involves a demanding academic commitment, which can sometimes be accompanied by personal, professional or relationship difficulties and give rise to a need for support. To address this need, PhD students can book an appointment at the Student Health Service (SSE) for a free one-to-one consultation with a psychologist.

In addition, a support group exclusively for PhD students is offered in collaboration with the SSE, outside the academic setting. This group enables participants to freely express their difficulties, listen to those of others and realise that certain obstacles are shared, whilst collectively exploring possible solutions.
The group is led by a support professional who was previously a lecturer and researcher. Having been a PhD student and a thesis supervisor herself, she is therefore well acquainted with the specific challenges of doctoral life.
The sessions take place in a supportive and confidential setting. If required, the facilitator can conduct all or part of the session in English. Participation is voluntary and on an ad hoc basis; anyone can sign up for the session of their choice or attend more regularly, depending on their needs. The sessions take place on five Thursdays a year, from 9.00 am to 10.30 am at the Centre Mazet.
The dates are as follows: October 22, December 3, February 4, March 25 and May 27.

To register, simply send an email to contact@isabelledemeure.fr at least 48 hours before the session you wish to attend. Your registration will only be confirmed once you have received a confirmation email in reply. If the group has already reached its maximum capacity, you will be offered a place on the next session.
