- IDEA Conference: Student and feminist activism through fanzines
Dive into the heart of student and feminist activism through the creative and committed world of the fanzine. On December 3rd at 7pm, PSL hosts a meeting with Anouk, artist and fanzine author, and Stéphanie Probst, member of the Geneva Fanzinothèque, to explore this free, subversive and profoundly political medium.
The IDEA hub is pleased to invite you to a conference and discussion dedicated to student and feminist activism through the fanzine, which will be held on Tuesday, December 3rd at 7:00 PM.
A medium for alternative expression, a space for artistic experimentation, and a vehicle for engagement, the fanzine occupies a unique place within feminist and student movements. Often produced outside of institutional channels, it gives visibility to voices, stories, and struggles that sometimes struggle to find their place elsewhere.
For this event, we will welcome:
Anouk, an artist and fanzine author, who will share her journey, her inspirations, and how she uses this format to convey a feminist message.
-
Stéphanie Probst, from the Geneva Fanzine Library, will discuss the history, practices, and community dynamics associated with fanzines, particularly within activist circles.
This talk will be an opportunity to discover the richness of this medium, to exchange ideas on its contemporary forms, and to understand how it contributes to today's student and feminist movements.
