The exhibition “Futures of Hope” explores a new way of imagining the future. It brings together a collection of Solarpunk and Hopepunk works by some fifty students from PSL University and international artists.
Through these creations, a new way of thinking about tomorrow emerges: where science fiction depicted destruction, narratives now explore repair, mutual aid, and cooperation. The protagonists are no longer survivors, but artisans, mediators, and builders of micro-communities.
This shift in tone is accompanied by a renewed appreciation for material concerns: resources are produced collectively, managed carefully, and integrated into ecological cycles. Cultivating, repairing, and passing on knowledge become central, and attention is focused on everyday infrastructures and collective dynamics.
After decades dominated by dystopia, the works in this exhibition explore the possibility of futures that are not catastrophic, but habitable: futures of hope.
