On Tuesday, February 3, 2026, from 9:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., the PSL University Orchestra & Choir, conducted by Johan Farjot, will perform Maurice Duruflé's (1902–1986) Requiem, Opus 9, a major work of the 20th-century sacred repertoire, at once profound, luminous, and meditative.
The program will be complemented by Karol Beffa's A Lament on Dust, a piece for voice and orchestra, offering a sensitive and contemporary dialogue with Duruflé's work.
Soloists Cécile Madelin (mezzo-soprano) and Matthieu Walendzik (baritone) will lend their voices to this demanding and moving program.
This concert will take place at Notre-Dame du Liban Cathedral, located at 17 rue d’Ulm in Paris, a venue whose acoustics and atmosphere will highlight the expressive richness of this repertoire.
