European Heritage Days 🌍

journées européennes du patrimoine

On the occasion of the European Heritage Days of September 21 and 22, 2024, the Collège de France opens its doors to you for an exceptional tour of its two sites in the heart of the Latin Quarter. Discover the richness and diversity of the heritage of this illustrious establishment, dedicated to the advancement of knowledge for five centuries.

The Collège de France offers a unique tour during the European Heritage Days. On the Marcelin-Berthelot site, you can explore the assembly room, meet professors and admire the courtyard, the art deco rotunda, and a terrace with a breathtaking view of Paris. Books will be on sale and signed, and a pop-up shop will offer souvenirs in the colors of the Collège de France.

On the recently renovated Cardinal-Lemoine site, discover the Institute of Civilizations and its Byzantine and Ottoman libraries. Attend 30-minute mini-lectures on various areas of research, followed by book signings, and participate in public readings and a bookbinding workshop.

A game booklet will guide young audiences through the two sites, allowing them to discover the Collège de France via a series of puzzles and questions.
