Although the ocean covers two thirds of the planet's surface, and makes its a place where life can exist, it remains a space that is difficult to apprehend and whose study is complex. Its specificities assume the form of invisibility in relation to the collective consciousness and decision-making. In this two-part presentation, we will present our knowledge of the ocean, the means and methods used by research, and we will explore new avenues opened up by citizen and participative science.
