For this first personal exhibition of her work, artist and researcher Jeanne Vicerial settles in the Magasins Généraux to set up "Clinique vestimentaire", a huge laboratory dedicated to the future of clothing and of the body. Combining design, craft, fashion, art and science, she presents her latest research and creations, as well as a program of performances, workshops, meetings and a symposium.
This exhibition & artist-in-residence show, which is her first personal presentation of her work to the public, will revisit the last six years of her career. This event is part of the feedback on the research conducted by Jeanne Vicerial during her SACRe-PSL (Sciences, Arts, Creation, Research) doctoral training at EnsadLab, the research laboratory of the École des Arts Décoratifs de Paris (2015- 2019), and after her residence at the French Academy in Rome - Villa Medici (2019-2020). This results in a set of cloth pieces, installations, drawings, photographs and videos. The exhibition also includes recent and unpublished creations, specially designed for the occasion, an original sound composition and a perfume.
