Night of Philosophy at the Goethe Institut

On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Goethe Institut in Paris, this event will take place in part within this pillar institution of Franco-German intellectual, cultural and artistic dialogue. In a context where the stakes of intellectual and cultural communication appear more than ever critical to build a solid and fulfilled common future in Europe, the objective of this year's Night of Philosophy at the Goethe Institute in Paris is to present a new landscape of philosophical ideas that are under development in Germany. This "Fair of Philosophical Thought" will include for a variety of formats for the philosophers' interventions, from informal conversation to the classic lecture, as well as more experimental formats, offering walks in the vicinity of the Goethe Institute Paris, where many leading cultural and artistic institutions are established.

Philosophers from Germany will offer us a landscape of philosophy as it is practiced on the other side of the Rhine. Also performances are to follow throughout the Night the same way as in a nightclub: reading of a contemporary novel along with the performance by a DJ and other artists...
