First academic year at the Paris School of AI: Training a generation capable of thinking about and transforming AI
The first school at PSL University, the Paris School of AI, opened its doors on 1 September. Its research-based programmes range from bachelor's degrees to doctorates and continuing education. Its ambition is to train AI experts and interdisciplinary professionals to meet the challenges of tomorrow and develop new applications.
Created as part of the €75 million IA Cluster programme (PR[AI]RIE-PSAI), which is part of France's 2030 strategy, the Paris School of AI brings together more than 100 AI researchers and illustrates PSL University's strong commitment to research and training in this strategic field.
Enriched with two new programmes, the Paris School of AI now offers a comprehensive range of courses – Bachelor's, Master's, Doctorate and Continuing Education – with an international dimension.
Unique in its kind, the Paris School of AI (PSAI) trains high-level AI experts and interdisciplinary profiles in the heart of Paris, in contact with the best researchers in the field, addressing the technological and societal challenges of AI. Students receive research-based teaching covering a wide range of disciplines, from mathematics and computer science to the humanities, cognitive sciences, economics, law and ethics.
‘AI is a constantly evolving technology. Our goal is not only to teach what exists today, but to prepare our students to keep pace with the rapid changes of tomorrow. This cannot be done without a strong foundation in the scientific world.’ Isabelle Ryl, Director of the Paris School of AI and Director of the PR[AI]RIE AI Cluster - PSAI
