Member of the Institut Curie's Executive Board Dominique Deville de Périère is a professor and hospital practitioner at the University of Montpellier, which she chaired before chairing PRES-Montpellier-Sud-de-France, the research and development department. Then she joined the Management of Research and Innovation at the French Ministry of Research and Higher Education. In this capacity, she represented the ministry on the institute’s Board of Directors. An expert in biochemistry and clinical proteomics for saliva biomarkers, she initiated the first biobank of saliva samples. Professor Deville de Périère has been awarded the honors of Officière des Palmes Académiques, Chevalier dans l’Ordre National du Mérite and Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur. A reserve colonel in the French army, she is also very involved in international affairs. She was President of a division of the International Association for Dental Research (IADR) and is honorary senator at Heidelberg University.
