The PSL Innovation Hub: academic excellence at the service of innovation


PSL University, winner of the University Innovation Hubs call for proposals, has secured €11 million in funding over four years to strengthen its innovation activities. This is a sign of recognition for the dynamism of its ecosystem and a success that has led to the creation of the PSL Innovation Hub. 
 
The PSL Innovation Hub's main missions are to structure, coordinate, and amplify the technology transfer and commercialization activities carried out by member institutions and associated organizations, while strengthening ties and cooperation between PSL University and the socio-economic world in order to maximize the impact of the research carried out by its communities. 
 
The PSL Innovation Hub is:
- Broad and interdisciplinary in scope: It embraces innovation in all its forms, as well as all disciplines and fields of application.
- A tailor-made program and offerings for doctoral students, researchers, engineers, teachers, healthcare professionals, and our socio-economic partners. 
- An exceptional dynamic, driven by PSL Valorisation and other players in the PSL ecosystem, which will be further strengthened to maximize societal and economic impact.

The PUI PSL Innovation Hub is divided into six actions :

 

Action 1: Management and Communication

Challenges: ensuring effective coordination and communication of the actions of the PSL Innovation Cluster.

Action 2: Awareness and detection

Challenges: structuring awareness-raising and training initiatives, promoting early detection and ideation.

Action 3: Partnership-based research

Challenges: strengthening research collaborations with the business world; creating a common point of contact dedicated to industrial partners.

Action 4: Transfer

Challenges: simplifying technology and knowledge transfer processes, pooling prospecting and development activities, and strengthening their impact.

Action 5: Business creation and support

Challenges: supporting the creation of deep tech start-ups, helping to strengthen teams and access to markets, particularly for industrial start-ups.

Action 6: Platforms and equipment

Challenges: mapping and coordinating technology platforms; facilitating access to them for start-ups and manufacturers
