Communicate with the Welcome Desk
The Welcome Desk is a shared service of Université PSL and part of the Office of Student Life. It welcomes and assists PSL international students and researchers, as well as their families, with non-academic administrative procedures. The team consists of Baptiste Biancardini, Head of the service; Patrik Čekal, International Student Advisor; and Michelle Gray, International Researcher Advisor. The team is also supported by several student workers (“tutrices” and “tuteurs”). We are here to support you!
The Welcome Desk’s missions include:
- Administrative procedures to facilitate arrival and life in France and at PSL.
- Provide opportunities for sociocultural exchange.
- Refer to other competent services when necessary.
You can contact us to learn more about campus life, French as a foreign language (FLE) or administrative formalities (e.g. social security and health insurance, visa and resident permit, bank account, housing, other PSL services, etc.).
The PSL Welcome Desk is open to the University’s international students and researchers, but we recommend that you contact us by email first (welcomedesk@psl.eu) or book an online meeting to be sure that we’ll be there to welcome you.

Throughout the year, and especially in September, the PSL Welcome Desk organizes numerous events, open to the entire University community.
Join us for an artistic visit in the Marais, a boat ride on the Seine, a picnic and outdoor games at the park, a PSL Choir and Orchestra concert, and mire. Check out our Instagram Page of past and future events!
Peer Mentoring and Language Exchange
The Buddy Program is a peer mentoring program available to students at PSL that aims to promote cultural exchange and international understanding.
The program connects new international PSL students with returning local PSL students. In this way, new students can more easily and enjoyably discover Paris and PSL easily and while returning students can cultivate important international ties. Everyone gets to improve their PSL experience! If your PSL school already offers a similar program, you are free to join both.

The Tandem Program is a language exchange program open to everyone at PSL, including incoming and returning students, PhD students, researchers, faculty, and staff.
The program pairs you with different PSL members, according to the preferences you have indicated, so that you can practice the languages you are interested in and get to know other people at Université PSL.
