Call for applications: Research stays at University College London (UCL)

The call is open to all disciplines.  Two doctoral students from PSL will be selected A similar call is proposed to doctoral students from UCL for research stays at PSL, in the same way, two doctoral students will be selected.

Conditions:

• The stay will last between 4 and 8 weeks and must end no later than December 15, 2023.
• Candidates must contact the laboratory of their choice at UCL to ensure that it is prepared to welcome them and integrate them into its structure for the duration of their stay (see application form to be completed).

Defrayal:

Accommodation costs for the duration of the stay will be covered by PSL via a grant of up to 600 euros per week, as well as a return train ticket from Paris to London.

Please note:

• Once internship dates have been confirmed by UCL, they cannot be altered
• Policies to enter the United Kingdom after Brexit:
  • Since October 1, 2021, passport is required to enter the country. Visa is not required for stays shorter than 6 months.
  • Applicants have to check the immigration regulations between France and the United Kingdom before travelling.
• Applicants must have a health insurance policy, in accordance with the new British provisions related to the Brexit, as well as a civil insurance policy for the duration of their stay.

Selection criteria:

• Quality of the project submitted
• Relevance of the project considering the cooperation between PSL & UCL
• Consistency between the desired internship and the applicant's doctoral curriculum
• Existing links with the partner and possible former collaborations

Command of English

The jury will include four representatives from PSL's International Relations and Research departments and will be supplemented by the advisory opinion of a representative from UCL. Up to two doctoral candidates will be selected.

Results will be released on July 30th, 2023 at the latest.
