CWUR ranking: PSL University confirms its place in the world's Top 20
On Monday June 2, the Center for World University Rankings unveiled its CWUR 2025 ranking. Ranked 19th out of more than 21,000 international institutions, PSL University confirms its place in the world's Top 20 and its position as the No. 1 European university in the ranking.
Université PSL scores in the CWUR 2025 international rankings
With an overall score up 88.5, Université PSL ranks among the top 0.1% of global institutions in the CWUR 2025 ranking, alongside Johns Hopkins University, 18th, and University College London (UCL), 20th.
In particular, PSL ranked 17th for education and 30th for employability, up one place on 2024. The ranking recognizes the University's ability to offer a “high-quality educational experience” to its students and to “meet the expectations of employers”.
CWUR ranking methodology
CWUR is renowned for publishing one of the most comprehensive and objective rankings of the world's universities:
Objective indicators are used for the four key pillars that make up the ranking methodology (education, employability, faculty and research). Unlike other rankings, CWUR does not incorporate surveys or university data submissions.
Equal weight is given to student and faculty indicators.
21,462 universities were analyzed in 2025 and ranked according to their academic performance.
