European doctoral students take center stage during week of EELISA events at Université PSL
From November 2 to 4, doctoral students and representatives from EELISA doctoral schools will gather in Paris for three events focused on innovation, research, and exchange. These events include the closing ceremony of the first edition of EELISA’s doctoral mentorship program, the PhD Symposium (co-organized with the École nationale des ponts et des chaussées), and a meeting of representatives from the Alliance’s doctoral schools.
Roundtable on Mentoring in Higher Education and Research
The closing event for the first edition of the PhD Mentorship Program will take place on November 2 at Mines Paris - PSL, and part of the program will be open to the entire Université PSL community.
Organized by our European university’s working group on inclusion and gender equality, a roundtable on mentoring in higher education and research will bring together mentors from the EELISA PhD Mentorship Program for a critical reflection on how inter-institutional mentoring initiatives contribute to positive change in the academic community.
PhD Symposium
How can academic research have a greater societal impact? How can innovation help transform scientific discoveries into concrete solutions?
On November 3-4, at ENPC and Université PSL, EELISA’s 2nd PhD Symposium will bring together doctoral students from across the Alliance for two days of learning and collaboration, centered on innovation.
Namely, students will participate in workshops focused on entrepreneurship, intellectual property, inclusion, and open science, and will attend a keynote address on entrepreneurship and innovation in research, as well as a plenary session to learn how to pitch their dissertations.
