On December 18, 2025, the PSL Board of Directors approved the appointment of Meltem Öztürk-Escoffier as Vice President for Student Life and Campus Life, reporting to Alexandre Allauzen, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Training, and Attractiveness at PSL University.
She will take up her duties immediately following her appointment on December 18, 2025.
Meltem Öztürk-Escoffier is a professor of computer science at Paris Dauphine University - PSL, within the LAMSADE. A specialist in decision support, artificial intelligence, and operational research, her work focuses on modeling, representation, learning, and aggregation of preferences, particularly for multi-criteria and collective decision-making, with applications in many fields.
With a PhD and accreditation to supervise research from Dauphine - PSL, she has spent most of her career there since 2009, after starting at the University of Artois in 2006, with several periods of secondment to the CNRS. She has also conducted research stays abroad, notably in Europe, North America, and South Africa.
Author or co-author of numerous articles in leading international journals and conferences, she has supervised or co-supervised many doctoral theses.
Deeply committed to education, in 2013 she co-founded the Master's program in Conflict Transformation and Peace Studies at Dauphine - PSL, which she then co-directed, contributing to the development of an internationally recognized interdisciplinary program. She also holds important scientific responsibilities: she has directed the LAMSADE's “Decision Support” research cluster and is a member of the CNRS national committee. Most recently, she participated in the development of the major TERRAE research program and is a member of its steering committee. Launched in January 2025, this major program mobilizes more than 150 researchers from five component institutions to address environmental and social issues.
In December 2025, she became Vice President for Student Life and Campus Life under Alexandre Allauzen, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Training, and Attractiveness at PSL University.
