Seven American students from the first class of Lafayette Fellows join Université PSL schools

The Lafayette Fellowship, a new program of excellence launched by the Villa Albertine to mark the 250th anniversary of Franco-American friendship, enables 30 American students to pursue a fully-funded master's degree program in France. Among them, seven Fellows will be joining six Université PSL schools.

Established to commemorate 250 years of Franco-American friendship, under the high patronage of the President of the Republic, the Lafayette Scholarship is dedicated to exceptional American students. It is offered by the Villa Albertine in partnership with France Science. 

At the start of the 2026 academic year, seven American students will be welcomed at six Université PSL institutions for a fully funded master’s degree program. The students will also participate in leadership training and meetings with leading French institutions across France.
