Solarpunk: PSL rewards the futures of hope
At a time when eco-anxiety is gaining ground, around fifty students from PSL University have proposed to imagine another tomorrow with the exhibition The Futures of Hope, presented from April 3 to June 18, 2026 at the Mazet Student Life Centre.
Through a collection of works inspired by the Solarpunk and Hopepunk art movements, the exhibition invited viewers to rethink our relationship with the future: no longer as an impending catastrophe, but as a habitable, desirable, and hopeful horizon.
At the awards ceremony, the President of PSL University, El Mouhoub Mouhoud, Meltem Ozturk, Vice-President for Student and Campus Life, Maeva Tisserand, Chief of Staff to the Director General of the Crous de Paris, and Aurore Tixier, Director of User Relations for the Crous de Paris, presented awards to the winners of the art competition.
The competition brought together 52 artists from 10 different institutions. A total of 23 prizes were awarded to celebrate the richness and diversity of the student creations.
The event also illustrates the realization of the strategic partnership between PSL and the Crous de Paris, centered on projects blending art and science and promoting student artistic creation.
Dedicated to the Solarpunk and Hopepunk movements, the exhibition explored the link between literary fiction and political theorizing, as well as the new forms of artistic creation disseminated on social media, where these two artistic currents emerged and developed.
This project also represents the first initiative undertaken by the new cultural and student life department at PSL University.
