Université PSL participates in EELISA Grand Meeting in Madrid
From May 18 to 22, students, leaders and staff from Université PSL participated in several EELISA events organized on Universidad Politécnica de Madrid campus, from the Governing Board and the Scientific Student Competition to the Student Council and Alliance work package meetings.
Creating the future of the Alliance
Composed of the leaders of the Alliance's member universities, the Governing Board meets in person twice a year to discuss EELISA's future and ongoing commitments. El Mouhoub Mouhoud, president of Université PSL, represented our institution during these strategic meetings.
At the heart of these discussions were the strengthening of educational offerings and existing research collaborations, as well as the shaping of the Alliance's future. A joint declaration, aimed at solidifying the role of EELISA communities as a European model for transdisciplinary collaboration, was signed by all representatives of the member universities. A second joint declaration focused on advancing Open Science, an initiative dedicated to making education and research more open, transparent, and accessible.
An accessible and inclusive European university
The EELISA work group focused on mobility, inclusion and accessibility, co-led by Cathy Collins, Head of Mobility in the International Relations Office at Université PSL, met in Madrid to address current and future programming for students and staff. Housed within this work group is another dedicated specifically to gender equality, led by Suzanne Robin-Radier, Project Manager for Gender Equality and the Fight Against Sexist and Sexual Violence at PSL, which also met during the EELISA Grand Meeting.
Discussions focused on mobility, student engagement and areas for improvement regarding sustainability efforts.
Université PSL students turn out in force
PSL representatives Albane de Monplanet and Jérémy Vallée-Martel, both CPES students, attended the EELISA Student Council meeting, their first mission as newly selected members.
From May 21 to 22, the 4th edition of the EELISA Scientific Student Competition was held to end the festive week. The annual event brings together students from across the Alliance -- and across disciplines -- who must present their research to an expert jury. Four students from Université PSL participated in the competition, and all four walked away as winners.
