Université PSL reacts to the Attack in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine, France

On Friday, October 16, a teacher of history and geography was murdered, in a particularly abhorrent fashion.
PSL University is deeply distressed by this event and would like to extend its heartfelt sympathies to the family, colleagues and students of Samuel Paty.
PSL's support goes to the teaching community, and it declares its conviction that freedom of expression is necessary for a democratic education, and that a critical perspective is an essential condition for acquiring a solid foundation of knowledge.
In addition, it affirms that secularism is a fundamental principle,  guiding education, from school to university.
