Université PSL welcomes inaugural Lafayette Fellows
September 2, Université PSL welcomed seven American students as part of the Lafayette Fellowship program, hosted by five PSL Component Schools: Ecole nationale des Chartes - PSL, Dauphine - PSL, ENSA Paris - Malaquais - PSL, ENS-PSL, Ecole des arts décoratifs - PSL and one of our new Paris Schools, the Paris School of IA (PR[AI]RIE-PSAI).
Created to celebrate 250 years of Franco-American friendship and diplomatic relations, under the high patronage of the President of France, the Lafayette scholarship is designed for high-achieving, exceptional American students. The program is organized by the Villa Albertine in partnership with France Science.
A welcome ceremony was held on September 2 at the Mazet Center for Student Life. The President of Université PSL and the heads of the institutions hosting the fellows were also present to celebrate the beginning of the Fellows' school year. The Lafayette Fellows are pursuing a one-year master’s degree and are also participating in leadership training and meetings with leading French institutions and actors.
From French architectural heritage to the impacts of AI on cognitive behavior, design and the Francophonie, each of the seven Lafayette Fellows is pursuing a research project or assignment during their academic year in Paris at one of Université PSL's institutions.
During the year, the thirty Fellows will also have the opportunity to explore the Université PSL ecosystem through visits and training sessions.
