"The Magic of the Prompt": a new MOOC to help you master generative AI
Suitable for both beginners and those with an interest in digital technology, the MOOC ‘The Magic of Prompts’ offers an immersive introduction to the world of generative artificial intelligence and prompt engineering. Delivered as part of the Data Programme, this course aims to make best practices more widely accessible, helping participants to better understand and utilise conversational AI.
With the rapid rise of generative AI tools, knowing how to formulate the right prompts is becoming a key skill. This is precisely the aim of the new MOOC, ‘The Magic of Prompts’: to enable the general public to discover the uses of generative AI and learn the basics of prompt engineering, with no technical prerequisites.
Designed for beginners and non-specialists, the course offers an accessible learning approach to help participants better understand how language models work and make more effective use of tools such as ChatGPT and conversational AI assistants.
The MOOC, delivered as part of the Data Programme, is led by Florian Le Bronnec, a researcher in artificial intelligence and natural language processing. Currently a postdoctoral researcher at the RIKEN Center for Advanced Intelligence Project (AIP) in Japan, he previously completed his doctoral research at Université Paris Dauphine–PSL, working within the LAMSADE and ISIR research teams.

This MOOC, "The Magic of the Prompt", has been designed as part of a series of three MOOCs developed within the Data Programme, with the aim of centralising and promoting the data science and artificial intelligence courses offered by the constituent institutions of Université PSL.
This series comprises the following courses:
- Similarities and Differences in Natural Language Processing: Humans and Neural Models de Yair Lakretz
- Explainability and Interpretability in Artificial Neural Networks de Srdjan Ostojic
