PSL-Alumni’s first aperitif

Le

Nearly 250 people, all different ages and graduating classes, were at the September 25th meeting in the prestigious premises of MINES ParisTech for the first PSLA’peritif. This was the first major event organized by the PSL Alumni Association.

Etudiants de PSL au premier apéro de PSL Alumni dans les locaux des MINES ParisTech

Welcomed to a large amphitheater with a warm speech by Vincent Laflèche, Director of MINES ParisTech, 250 graduates, students, members of the PSL Alumni Board, alumni, PSL managers and PSL institutions attended this exciting first-time event.

With nearly 150,000 alumni from different schools and profiles, PSL-Alumni is a network of great wealth. PSL Alumni's President Dominique Blanchecotte and PSL President Marc Mézard highlighted PSL Alumni and PSL's close ties and specificities. Dominique Blanchecotte presented the genesis of PSL Alumni, the actions already undertaken by the association - creation of the association, design and launch of a website, presence on social networks - and members of the PSLA Bureau to stimulate this approach. Marc Mézar traced the history of PSL, its prestigious alumni, and presented the ambitions and objectives of the university, now the first French university in the international rankings.
The audience, who were very involved throughout the presentation, were able to discover the richness and breadth of PSL's research and teaching offer, asking many questions to stakeholders.
The evening continued in a warm and friendly atmosphere around a cocktail, during which everyone could meet and exchange impressions and business cards, engineers discovering crafts or vice versa, graduates sharing their experience with students.

A first successful  edition, which PSL-Alumni will hold again at the beginning of next year.
