2022-2023 academic year: welcome to your university!
Dear students,
Whether you’re a continuing PSL student or new to our university, I am pleased to welcome you for this new academic year in 2022. I can already safely promise you an exciting and instructive return to school, one that may even be a source of career inspiration for some of you.
PSL is a collegiate university, enriched by the history and specificities of the component schools that form it. These institutions decided to unite their student, academic and administrative communities around a specific idea of interdisciplinarity and education, that of the future. At the forefront of these objectives is the desire to work towards the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), simultaneously cultural, social and environmental. Research-based learning, the wide variety of knowledge and skills present in our university, and the countless opportunities available will train future leaders to be well-educated and capable of acting in the face of the major challenges of our time, at different levels and in many different sectors, in a methodical and resolute way.
This desire to act collectively to support training and research, in connection with the Sustainable Development Goals, is embodied every year in a schedule of scientific events. After last year’s program based on the Anthropocene, we will launch this university year around the theme of water. It is the perfect example of an interdisciplinary subject, bringing together major research in chemistry and engineering as well as international relations, arts and humanities.
Representing both a source of inspiration and a key issue for our time, as shown by its position among the UN Sustainable Development Goals, the theme of water will allow all PSL communities to come together around a schedule of incredible events, including conferences featuring Joachim Claudet, specialist in marine areas, climatologist Sabrina Speich, and philosopher Robert Casati. A round table on the most recent IPCC report and climate action, as well as a theatre performance, are also planned.
The program for the back-to-school period is in your hands, as is that of your entire course, to a large extent. Events will take place all throughout the year on the theme of water, particularly for the occasion of the Festival of Science, but you will also have many opportunities to get involved and customize your studies through the PSL Weeks or one of the many student organizations.
We are privileged to be part of an extremely rich and dynamic university community. This opportunity also requires us to ensure that the principles of diversity and inclusion prevail, in our relationships with others but also with ourselves, when creating our path, persevering in our work and sharing our success. It is certainly the only way that PSL can serve its aim to contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals and that you can all enjoy a student experience worthy of your potential.

Stay connected on campus with the Eduroam network
Use the Eduroam network to connect wherever you are on the PSL campus. This network can also be used in other universities in France and abroad. Your connection identifiers are sent to you by email when you register. In case of problems or if you do not receive them, please contact the IT department of your host school.
Healthcare: preventive medecine appointment and online appointments
The student health service is available by appointment from Monday to Friday from 9am to 5:30pm. It includes a preventive medicine center and another center for psychological prevention and support. You can ask them certificates of aptitude for sports at PSL (except for competitions).
As a PSL student, you can to consult a doctor on video without going to the office, thanks to a partnership with the company Qare. You can make an appointment with the doctor of your choice among more than 40 specialties, such as general medicine, dermatologists, addictologists, nutritionist, cardiologists, gynecologist, sexologists, sports doctor... Consultations are free of charge, only the carte vitale is required. Once you enrolled in your host school, you will receive an email from Qare on your student email address in order to activate your account
You can also choose to have your preventive medicine visit through this service by consulting a general practitioner. In this case, you will have to specify in your consultation request "preventive medicine visit".
Food baskets available
Throughout the year, the student club Epicoop is organizing deliveries of baskets with vegetables, carbs and other basic products. If you want to join them, either as a volunteer or as a recipient, beneficiary, all the information you need is on the Epicoop Facebook's page.
