The Law degree is multi-disciplinary, professional and demanding. It is made up of two tracks: a double degree in Law and Management, and a second track focusing on public law. The Law degree enables students to acquire the fundamental skills of private and public law, while opening up to other organizational sciences. It benefits from the quality of the teaching staff at Dauphine - PSL, and from the university's close links with the professional and social-economic worlds.
Admission to the Law degree requires a legal background in the first and second years of the Licence program. Teaching takes place in the form of classes and tutorials, in small classes, which encourages a special bond between the students themselves and a high degree of interactivity with the teachers who supervise them.
Learning outcome
- Acquire fundamental legal knowledge in private and public law, while developing multi-disciplinary skills in management, economics and social sciences,
- Teach students to think for themselves and to approach legal situations from a theoretical and practical angle,
- Develop their knowledge of Common Law through specialized courses taught in English,
- Enable students to learn how to reason, adapt and operate in the job market,
- Clarify their career plans and familiarize themselves with the codes of the working world through an internship.
Opportunities
Students holding a Bachelor of Law degree are encouraged to integrate one of the Master of Laws of the Dauphine - PSL. More generally, they can choose any other orientation requiring a bachelor's degree in Law.

The Bachelor’s Degree in Law is attached to the Department of Organizational Sciences at Dauphine – PSL.
The bachelor's consists of:
- a multidisciplinary core curriculum in Year 1 and 2, covering economics, management, law, and social sciences. In addition to coursework in these four disciplines, the program includes quantitative subjects (mathematics, computer science, and statistics) as well as strong awareness-building around the ecological, ethical, and political challenges of the contemporary world. These courses are offered across three study tracks: General, Legal, and Social Sciences.
Students may complement their studies with two optional certificates : - A specialization year in Year 3, offered through one of the following tracks:
- Double Bachelor’s Degree in Law – Management and Organizational Governance
- Public Governance and Law
→ Law and Management (dual degree)
The 3rd year of the Licence Droit - Management et gestion des organisations leads to a double degree in Law and Management. Its aim is to train lawyers with a high level of competence and a multidisciplinary profile. It enables students to consolidate their legal knowledge, while offering them the opportunity to pursue a wide range of academic and professional projects.
Program objectives
- Gain a dual competence in law and management,
- Acquire a good command of the fundamentals of private law, especially business law,
- Good knowledge of public business law and common law,
- Develop knowledge of fundamental management science subjects such as accounting, management control, HR management, marketing and strategy,
- Gain the ability to think for yourself and approach legal situations from a practical and theoretical angle,
- Refine your professional project.
→ Law and Public Governance
The third year of the Bachelor’s degree in Law (Law and Public Governance track) aims to provide future lawyers with a solid background in legal studies in addition to the interdisciplinary knowledge necessary to understand public action and public decision-making on a local, national, European, and international level.
Program objectives
- Obtain a law degree focusing on public law and public governance, while mastering the fundamentals of private law and the basics of common law,
- Acquire notions of economics, management, sociology and political science,
- Develop personal reflection while understanding legal situations from a practical angle,
- Pursue careers related to or interacting with the public and parapublic sectors, or research in these fields (PSL Droit- Master Recherches graduate program).

Admission requirements for Bachelor year 3
Prerequisites and/or recommended diplomas to enter the program:
- Students who have passed the second year of their Bachelor's degree at Dauphine - PSL and both the first and second years of the Law program.
- Students who have passed the Bachelor’s program in Interdisciplinary Studies (CPES) at PSL, as long as they followed the Economic, Social, and Legal Science (SESJ) track, majored in Law, have received at least an average grade of 10 in the Law major, and have taken a minor or major in Economics with a grade in Accounting of at least 10.
- Students who have completed a BAC+2 degree (a three-year degree worth 120 ECTS) or equivalent in law at another university or institution of higher education.
- Candidates must have a basic understanding of private and public law and accounting and a decent level of English.
Admission procedure
- Automatic admission for students who have successfully completed their second year of Bachelor’s studies at Dauphine - PSL and their second year of the legal curriculum. If the legal curriculum has not been completed in full (Year 1 and Year 2), an application must be submitted via the MyCandidature platform.
- For external applicants, admission is based on the review of an online application file, to be submitted according to the official application calendar.
